Tobisho A-Type Secateurs Japanese Pruners are crafted from exceptional Aogami #2 Hitachi Blue Paper Steel, expertly forged together with S45-C handles. This divine combination is unique in the world of secateurs, as Tobisho typically uses YCS Hitachi Steel for their standard A-types. While blue steel may require more delicate handling due to its hardness and brittleness, rest assured that it will maintain a sharp edge like no other. We were unable to resist these premium pruners, and you won't be able to either. They come equipped with vibrant Tobisho red and yellow vinyl grips, which can be removed for a more traditional appearance. When purchasing A-Types, be sure to look for the authentic Yamagata style with a laminated handle and blade of finer quality steel, indicated by a thin gold band between the two materials.

To keep them in good shape for the next time we recommend you them clean with Crean Mate and Camellia Oil, and sharpen with a Niwaki #1000 stone every few uses.
